What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
All data is stored within the user's device from which the application is accessed. All application data generated by the user such as how much water they are drinking each day or their trip history, in which unit they like their water to be recorded, their ideal serving size etc. are all stored in a local database within the user's iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and/or iPod. There is no back end service that tracks user data for Splashy Water Tracker. For Samaritan, users can register via Facebook or directly with our backend services. After registering, users can leverage our back end storage to store trip history for their future access. None of the users data are shared with any third party and are solely used for the purpose of enhancing user experience.
Both Splashy Water Tracker and Samaritan Apps are integrated with Apple Health App. For Splashy Water Tracker, the integration simply writes water intake information to the Health App each time the user records their water intake within the App through the iPhone, iPad, iPod or Apple Watch interface or via reminders appearing on all these devices. Samaritan reads user's heart rate if it detects an accident and prompts the user to send out distress signals from their Apple Watch or iPhone or automatically calls their emergency contacts. Samaritan also store user's trip history in a secure backend database so users can record and analyze their driving patterns and improve and become safer drivers.
None of these data is accessible to any third party.
No other data or information is obtained or used for any other purposes.
